CHIWENGA'S DEATH BED CONDITION HAS BECOME WORSE The South African government on Tuesday sent well wishes to Vice President Constantino Chiwenga who is being treated in India for an undisclosed ailment. "On Zimbabwe, we must start by wishing Vice President Chiwenga a speedy recovery. We all know that he has not been well. I am informed by our High Commissioner, that he [Chiwenga] has travelled to India for further treatment that will help his condition," South Africa's International Relations and Cooperation Minister Lindiwe Sisulu told journalists in Pretoria. "We wish him a speedy recovery there." The health of the influential former Zimbabwe Defence Forces commander, Chiwenga, 63, is keenly followed in Zimbabwe – particularly on social media. Zimbabwe plans new currency as USD and bond note shortages increase

Zimbabwe abandoned its own currency in 2009 after it was wrecked by hyperinflation and adopted the greenback and other currencies, such as sterling and the South African rand. But there is not enough hard currency in the country to back up the $10 billion of electronic funds trapped in local bank accounts, prompting demands from businesses and civil servants for cash which can be deposited and used to make payments. Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube told a townhall meeting on Friday a new local currency would be introduced in less than 12 months. "On the issue of raising enough foreign currency to introduce the new currency, we are on our way already, give us months, not years," he said. Zimbabwe's foreign reserves now provide less than two weeks cover for imports, central bank data show. Chinhoyi Minister found with snake under passenger seat

A Chinhoyi man was found with a large snake which was hard to identify. Eyewitness Trevous Kedha said "while i wating at the bustop to get people into my kombi, A Black discovery Land Rover arrived and stopped near my kombi. Like usual i ran to the vehicle to look for passengers to get into my kombi but when i got there a an in his early 40's came out if the discovery and forgot to close the door. I just continued shouting if people were going to Karoi. I walked to the left rear window of the black discovery 4 and saw a black and blue shiny thing but after it moved movements i was alarmed! I screamed shouting to my fellow hwindis to come and check this out. With nerve we opened the rear door and saw a large black snake with yellow and blue stripes. We then immedialtly killed it. While we were busy killing the snake a young man wearing a dark suit and shades hoped into the disc before we could ask questions and drove off never to see hi again"
